is there a simple way of finding how many combinations there are?

alright so in my math class we got to find how many different combinations there are in the number set 1-56. which is also the lottery thing here in ohio, which i found odd but later found out its because the proffessor wants to hold a class lottery where the winner (if you win) gets an extra credit on his/her final exam grade. which is cool but doubt anyone gets it. so yeah just was wondering if there was a quick way to find the all possible combinations cuz get some extra credit if your the first with the answer as well

basically multiply every number from 56 to 1.
